Roy is a popular name. Also , the people who set up the ad might be fans of Shemue and just chose the name as a tribute.
l love the little Playroom robots at the end. The mini-game surprised me with how lifelike they seem responding to any movement like little pets. Clever.
1. Lara Croft... yeah, this one's all I need.
"Playstation 4 Has the Momentum, Can it be Stopped?"
As long as they keep delivering superior multi-platform games and keep investing in new original IP I think they will be alright for a while!
When I think back to the end of 2012 I can't believe what a turnaround it has been for Sony. Microsoft begun 2013 with a countdown timer to E3 and everyone (including me) expected them to be the only manufacturer to launch a new console in 2013 and expected the Xbox 720 to be perfect... Then that trailer for the PlayStation event came and shook up THE WHOLE INTERNET!
When Sony took to the stage it was fantastic, it was like they remembered who they were again! It had so m...
What possible purpose could these non-game achievements have?
Game achievements make sense because they mean a player will spend more time in a game which ultimately benefits the console platform (Xbox) and the game publishers.
Aviator189. I definitely get your point that these alternative achievements are to tempt gamers to explore all aspects of their console. The thing is people who own an Xbone are very likely to be using or at least trying out the features anyway...
Achievements for using a cloud drive? This is not the concern of true gamers. Oh Microsoft how far ye have fallen.
On Amazon.co.uk Xbox One is outselling the PS4.*
*Amazon.co.uk do not currently have any PS4s in stock, and do not expect a new delivery until mid-March at the earliest.
Friday, 23rd May, 2014 release for UK. Gotta love the weekend!
I also have no doubt that Naughty Dog will 'bring it' but I don't trust Rasheed's cryptic clues because they are so general that anyone can make them up and sound too much like speculation.
ND will 'bring it.' Woo hoo! the fanboys will celebrate but he hasn't actually said any concrete info. I don't have any insiders but let me tell you Naughty Dog will 'knock the ball out of the park' with the new Uncharted. Now gaming bolt why don'...
The head of PR at CD Projekt says "I just recently bought a next-gen console and I really enjoy how powerful it is, and it’s enough for me."
This is how bad the 'parity' treatment clause is from one manufacturer; industry staff are too scared to say which damn console they've bought for fear of causing business problems with the other -this has got to change.
@AutoCad: That was actually kinda funny!
If this young dude really is making a RPG using Project Spark then it is an amazing bit of software. It means that new creative types can focus on designing a game world without the programming learning curve. They could then use their games as a calling card to get a job in the industry.
@darthv72. The reason i mention this is because the ad features a visual glitch which normally might be quite clever. However UK & European & all PAL territory countries experience inputted video into an Xbox One also in a glitched manner. Before you start saying it is nothing, it IS an issue for PAL Xbone owners because the video input doesn't look good. The glitch is disrespectful to PAL Xbone owners who are still waiting for Microsoft to resolve this problem.
...
This marketing campaign is glitched!
This is not the right track for Microsoft as people will associate the Xbone with having technical difficulties. After the RROD, DRM fiascos and inability to display video properly in PAL territories this is the last thing they need.
Colin Moriarty is a decent PlayStation 4 enthusiast but he is being a bit premature complaining about minor glitches from a pre-release game because this is the stuff that is ironed before release. Now if the glitches are there after release it becomes a different matter. But complaining about an in-progress build makes me think he should pause for breath and take the stick out!
@chrissx I was surprised that your statement superior multi-platforms games being on PS4 got so many disagrees.
At this moment in time all the multi platform titles have had their publishers confirm they have better graphics fidelity on PS4, but some people are so loyal to a brand that they put their fingers in their ears and want to pretend it isn't true!
It doesn't mean the Xbone is a bad console, down the line it might have loads of great exclusives inclu...
You're right not every game does need a tacked on multiplayer. But I can't help but feel a well thought out multiplayer in The Order's game world with its third person shooter mechanics would work really well.
↑ What he said!
@Eonjay. That's a really good point that many people are overlooking; people are buying next-gen consoles because they want better. Better performance, better graphics. You can buy Assassin's Creed IV for 360 or PS4, but gamers have spent £350/$399 on a new console to play it. Why? Because they want the best visuals & performance.
